World Cancer Day

The Health Service Board joins other stakeholders in commemorating the World Cancer Day. Speaking at the occasion, the Acting President of the Republic of Zimbabwe and Minister of Health and Child Care Retired General Dr C.G.D.N Chiwenga said it is important to raise awareness about cancer, its prevention, screening, detection and treatment. He added that the Ministry of Health and Child Care is focusing on coordinating the setup of structures and implementation of programmes that ensure the mortality and morbidity from the increasing burden of cancer and other non-communicable diseases is addressed.
